I have TiVo. I was wondering if you could put a recorded show in your library onto a DVD? If there is a way to do that can you explain a simple explanation on how to do it or where i can find out how to? Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!

Yes you can all that you have to do is have a vcr that can record shows onto tapes or a dvd player that can record onto dvds. First you go to list then select the show then go down to record to whatever slip the blank in and push the record button on your VCR or DVD player.

The other method is to use Tivo Desktop and copy the TV show over to your desktop computer. Break the password protection and convert the AVI file over to MPEG. Then, you can create a DVD movie from that. It's a very complicated process and involves too many programs.

Or you can just burn the AVI files on a DVD as a data DVD. Then, when you want to watch the show again, you can copy the files back to your Tivo and watch it through your Tivo or watch it on your computer.

I find it easier to wait until the TV show comes on DVD or download the TV shows through Bittorent. Almost all TV shows are available through Bittorrent.

You may be able to find an easier process at Tivo's Community forums.
