put these in to y=mx+b form
1) y+2=-x-4
2) y+5=-x-2

For both of these, the form is ALMOST right!
For the first, subtract 2 from each side, and you get y+2-2 = x-4-2
or...
y = x - 6
In this case, m = 1 and b = -6

For the second, subtract 5 rom both sides. I'll leave that one to you.

1. y + 2 = - x - 4

First: set the equation to "y" and make sure "y" is on one side:

y + 2 - 2 = -x - 4 - 2
y = -x - 6

2. y + 5 = -x - 2

y + 5 - 5 = -x - 2 - 5
y = -x - 7
