1. 1/7 y = 9. Multiply both sides of the equation by 7 to get y by itself: y = 9 * 7 = 63 2. The hundredth place is the second digit after the decimal. So, 7.5262 is rounded to 7.53. 3. Convert the mixed fractions into improper fractions: 2 2/3 = 8/3 1 3/4 = 7/4 (8/3) * (7/4) = 14/3 4. Again, change the mixed fractions into improper fractions: 10 5/12 = 125/12 20 5/8 = 365/18 Then to subtract, the denominators of both fractions must be the same: The least common multiple of 12 & 18 is 36. 125/12 = 375/36 365/18 = 730/36 (375/36) - (730/36) = -355/36 5. 7.16 / -0.8 = -8.95

Normally if the fraction is greater than 1/2 you add 1 to the whole number and if it is less than 1/2 you just drop it.
If the fraction is equal to 1/2 you will usually add 1 to the whole number. In some classes they may teach to round down on even and round up on odd (or vice versa) but that is pretty rare.

you'd have to be more specific for me to help you further, but i think you might have to change it into a number from a fraction. if that is what i think you're talking about. but other than that i'm unsure of what you speek of
