ok..so my husband an i dont have a ton of money this year for christmas due to unforseen bills. so we decided to make baskets for family members this year.. in the baskets we put a fleece blanket, a sauce gift set, a jar with stuff in it to make their own chili, a tree ornament, an emergency cell phone charger, a mug, and a candle with a few variations depending on the person! also the woven basket can be used as a laundry basket when they take everything out.would you like this as a gift..or does it suck..be honest..thanks
merry christmas to all

I think it's very nice. Honestly. I had a similar idea but no one to use it on. I thought of getting a fleece blanket, a DVD or two, a bag or two of popcorn, and some of those movie theatre boxes of candy and putting them in a basket.

I would LOVE to recieve a gift like that. Extremely thoughtful! You could go out and get something nice for someone with money wrap it up and thats it. But putting that much time and thought into something is the best presents people can recieve.

I think it's nice. It's not the gift that counts. It's the thought of giveing that counts. Have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

I read and answered a question very similar to this a few weeks ago (almost word for word).

This is what I answered before: your baskets and their contents sound very nice to me!

this sounds like a great idea but honestly if your going to spend your money putting all this together why don't u just buy something a little more personal.

I think that sounds like a great idea...I would certainly love something like that myself! especially since you are making them with contents suited to each person. I think most everyone would appreciate something personalized especially for them!
