distruptive, rude and bad child (maybe even done some wrong things, like steal), and a nice calm obedient one, and you where in a fire and you knew you could probably only save one (opposite ends of the home, can only carry one at a time) whom would you save first? I would choose the 1st (the rude one) so I could give them a second chance in life, because I know the obedient one will be in heaven

let me rephrase this, you are in the middle of the house. One kid is on one side, another kid on the other. You want to save them both, but you know that the first one you try to save, will be the only one liable to survive, even if you die, because when you move towards one kid, you move farther from the other. and wouldn;t you want to push one out the door, then go towards the other, so you know at least one will live?

why does everyone get mad at me about this Q, but not about the titanic one? I just asked so I could get your views, you didn;t have to jump at me and call me horrible. I wasn't trying to be insensitive. I just wanted to know, yes its a morbid question, but it makes you think. Why the hostility? I didn;th think I was doing anything wrong. its just a question.

Its not about what one you love more, its about whether you should give the bad child a second chance, or if you should help the other so that he can grow up to help people one day

AH! Thats a hard question!!!! I would save which ever one is closest to me. The one that has a better chance of surviving.

All children go to heaven, regardless.

Nice thinking, but why punish the good one? Save the good one because he/she might grow up to be someone great, like a doctor, and save more lives or help others. You're only hurting the world by saving the bad one because everyone has to put up with him/her.

Ha ha I'm reading some of the dumb responses. No need to overreact ppl! It's just a hypothetical question. Besides, we all know u guys favor the good kid but pretend to love both equally 0;D

You obviously are not a parent, or just a really bad one. In the end, no matter what wrong your children have done, they are still your babies and you love them more than the world. I would save both of them and jump into the fire myself so they both could live.

Your question is ridiculous and your additional details just make it worse.

I think in a situation in which lives are in danger, all the crap that made you think a child was 'good' or 'bad' disappears, and all you remember is how much you love them and want the best for them.

And then you strive your hardest to save both. Even if they were on opposite ends of the house, you totally would.

You should watch the movie "Sophie's Choice" with Meryl Streep. She has to choose if her son or daughter will live.
I don't think anyone can say what they would do because it's not something we can plan.
That would be a horrible thing to happen but I would die trying to save both.

there is alot more to this then choosing what one there would be things like can you yell for one to get out where is the most smoke the most heat is the roof caving in ect.. its not a matter of who the child is or how he behaved its a matter of doing all i could do to save them both even if it meant dying myself...

How could you ask such a question? You must not be a parent. It's like asking what child do you love more. A loving parent loves both children equally. (You may have more in common with one child or be closer to one but you love them equally)

i'd save the youngest one first, because he has not had as much time in this world as the other, and then i would run back for the second one.

Perhaps you should only have one child, and hope that you both make it out of the fire.
