because the brain is not ready to memorize images , stories etc. the brain is storing movements, walking , other automatic things that your conscious mind don't need to remember now.

I have an older son that says he remembers being in that little plastic thing ( bed) soon after he was born.(doubtful to me) But really our brains don't comprehend when we are that young. All I can say about that.

Memory, and all cognitive functions in babies, is tied to language development. Babies don't have language, so can't remember infancy.

Who says you can't? My earliest memory is 2 months of age..

Its called infantile amnesia. Your brain isn't fully developed in that area yet.
