I've been noticing my hands falling asleep at night, and I'm assuming this is bad circulation, plus carpal tunnel. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? I literally had bruise band marks on the tops of my fingers from all three of my rings on both hands. It eventually went away, mostly by the next morning. I didn't put my rings back on once I noticed the bruising.

The rings I'm talking about are my wedding rings, my mother's engagement ring and my birthstone ring. None of them are cheap and I've never been allergic to metal before. It seems strange that all of a sudden, I've been wearing my wedding rings 27 yrs. this would happen.

Two things could be going on, first the carpal tunnel is the problem with the hands falling asleep and you should check this out with your doctor. The other, the "bruising" could be the metal in your rings may have left the dark mark if they aren't a pure gold or silver...

Are you sure it was a bruise?

Many people get green/blue/purple rings around where they were wearing jewelry, it doesn't always have to be cheap jewelry, either, I know someone who gets it even when they wear 10-14K gold...

If it hurt when you touched it was a bruise, if not, then it was probably what I described above.
