That is a leading question, and not at all legitimate.
This is absolutely not the case.... most Americans just believe that people can work for a living and not live off everyone else. They don't think that they should give half of their hard earned dollars to the government so that they can support everyone else that doesn't want to work.
I have had to struggle to support my own family most of my adult life, and even some of my childhood. Nothing has ever been given to me and I have not expected any handouts. As a result, my children have learned the value of hard work. They are better people because of it.
Nothing is free buddy. We all have to work for it.

Let's look at your explanation two ways: (1) Not all middle class people want poor people to be miserable and the ones that do possibly have a greivance in their life, regarding when they were pooer, that they've never resolved. (2) Some people, regardless of their financial plight, feed on being misearble. Life isn't life unless they can find something to be miserable about.

I HELLBENT do not want to deny the poor a decent standard of living and therefore I encourage all poor people to get jobs or elect liberals who will give you everything you need without having to leave your bed.

I think you are targetting the wrong group of misery makers - so many of the middle class have their roots as poor or underpriveledged people I dont see them as the problem, its the upper classes who dont give a rats ***, who use the poor to create wealth but rarely share it. It is the upper classes who would want the minimum wage to stay absolutely minimum.

You need to ask more informed questions, like "Why are the poor so eager to blame everyone else for their problems?"

Perhaps it is their goal of becoming part of the upper class that causes them to exploit others. A hard days work desirves a fair wage

Probably for the same reasons that they don't want the rich to keep their hard earned money. It is their own greed and it is a good way to keep themselves in the middle. Few greedy people make it big (unless they are celebrities of course).
