Depending on the clearance under your front fenders this change may widen your turning radius because you wont be able to turn the steering wheel all the way without the tires hitting the inner fender wall. Also, the increased radius difference of the tires will throw off your speedometer so you will be going faster than what is reading on the gauge. You'll lose a little tourque at start, and your around town gas milage will drop a bit. Finally, your computer wont know you changed the diameter of the tires, so no correction for timing will be made .

Never heard that. The angle of the drive line does not change. The diameter of the wheel would have to increase by many inches to have any real effect on the drive line. You could probably measure an increase in stress with a wheel that is a couple inches larger than stock but It wouldn't amount to much extra stress that would cause any damage.

It wont effect anything, as long as you keep your overall diameter the same. If your tire AND wheel combo you have on right now has an overall diameter of 28 inches, you will need to keep the new overall diameter the same at 28 inches. If it isnt exactly the same, thats ok, The concequences arent as severe as many people seem to think. Trucks are designed with a 15% oversize tire threshold, where they are still safe to run with a 15% oversize tire, as long as the tire will still fit at that size(cars however are around the 1.5-3% range).

well that depends, if you have to install a lioft kit to use 20" rims then it could if the shop that installs the lift doesnt correct the drive line angle.if it isnt corrected it will cause your universal joint(s) to wear prematurely and fail.it will also add extra weight (laterally) to your wheel bearings because it is a taller tire than gm ever intended to have there.it will also cause your speedometer/odometer to read incorrectly, but that is generally easily corrected.but why would ya want to put 20"s on it in the first place????
