My last 2 appts the dr told me that my babys head is downword so i was wondering if she might be facing inwards and therefore causing me to feel less movements? The past couple of days she hasnt been as active as she was. im only feeling little squirms once in awhile and sometimes really low punches but not any major kicking. My dr said that if i was ever concerned that they have monitoring they can do but im trying to be realistic in that babies dont always move and some movements is better than none. Does any of this sound normal to you? Thanks for any advise is appriciated.

I just asked a very simmilar question today! My baby was very active in the beginning, but the farther along I get ( im 28 weeks ) the less she moves. She is still moving, but not as much and not nearly as strong as she was. Ive been told that the farther along you get the less the baby will move because it is running out of room. As long as you are still feeling her some, she should be okay. Babies cause so much worry!! good luck! I'm sure you're little one is fine!

Hi Honey.
It sounds to me like your baby is just getting ready to be born! Late in your pregnancy there is less and less room in the uterus for the baby's usual gymnastics and you will feel fewer really extreme movements. The baby is larger now and especially if the head is low and engaged, you will not feel as much movement.
Of course if you are truly concerned and if you feel that there has been almost no movement you should request a fetal monitor and find out if something is actually wrong.
From a personal perspective I can remember being quite concerned with one of my babies only to find out that he was suffering from LOW blood sugar due to the fact that I was so worried that I had forgetten to eat! My blood sugar was very low and when the nurse gave me a glass of O.J. to drink, the baby was kicking and moving around within moments. When was the last time that you ate? You might want to check that aspect also.
Take care honey. Try to enjoy these last few weeks of your pregnancy, it will be over before you know it. Take good care of yourself and call your doctor when you have a real concern, that is what she is there for.
Be sure you are planning to breast feed, even if it is only for a short time! That is the greatest gift (next to life itself) that you can ever give your baby and you will not believe how wonderful it will make both of you feel. Give it a chance, you can always stop if and when you want to, but if you never do it you will always wonder if maybe you missed something. I nursed all of my babies for more than a year and it was the best thing I ever did! If for some reason you know you cannot continue with breastfeeding (like you have to go back to work) at least do it for the first week so that the baby can get all the immunities that she will receive from your milk. They are there in the colostrum and it is SO,SO important! If you can only nurse your baby for the first week or so it is more important that you can imagine! If
you need any advice please write to me, I would love to talk to you about it. Really!
Good luck and take care of yourself and your sweet baby!
Love and Blessings

It could be normal if you're close to the end. The baby is bigger and has less room to move when they get past 7 months. So, don't panic as long as you feel 10 movements in a 24-hour period.

Right before you go into labor, the baby will get a lot less active. It's like they are conserving their energy or something.

Whenever I was worried about my babies not moving, I would lean over the kitchen table so my belly was on top of it, and drop my keys! It would wake up the baby and make him kick so I knew he was OK!

It depends how far through your pregnancy you are.
Try drinking a glass of cold water, lying on your side and seeing if you feel movements. Your baby will move less later on in pregnancy as he has less room.
