I loved them BOTH,but when they are little you can protect them more! When they get older they want to be independent and act like they don't need you as much! When they are little they step on your toes and when they grow up they step on your heart!! MERRY X-MAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have raised 6 at the time they were toddlers I Would say Toddlers . When Teen years came around. Oh "****". Teens are very exp. and want to figure things out for themselves. No matter what, they want to go through it themselves. Just as the parent did... You can teach a toddler... You can see how well you did by your teen. Remember for the first 5 years you teach them to walk and talk and for the rest of YOUR life you are trying to get them to sit-down and shut up... LOL

Having had both as well a son and a daughter I can definitely say a teenager. They become "our report card" on how we did till now .. the waiting up to see them come in the door ... who were they with? Where did they go? Were drugs, sex, or alcohol involved? Was it chaperoned? Are they telling the truth? Are they still "virgins"? More questions arise as we wait, minutes become "hours" in our mind ... then we are so "mean" ... "grounding them over minutes !!! "I hate you!" "That's not fair!" ... that's life! On the other-hand you got ... Hope that fall don't leave a mark for long. How much blood can come out of a "boo boo"? Will they use the "potty" today? ... and if the questions "bug" you they aren't too far away to check up on. Don't be discouraged we seam to all do a better "job" than we give ourselves credit. Hope this helps.

I have a toddler well a little more than that maybe...she is 2years 8months sometimes i look at the drawing on the walls and quavers crushed into the carpet, the milk dripping down the sofa and the t-shirt down the toilet and I think ...how can it possibly get harder? But then I look at my 12 year old and 18year old sisters and think that's how! They bicker the 12 year old just goes off out and comes back when she feels like it depsite grounding and my mum taking away her things and everything. The 18 year old refuses to grow up and acts like she is 13 and I think ahh thank god my baby is just 2!

They can both be fun. My child is now a teenager and a fantastic one at that. A toddler is great too but a lot of work!

A teenager for sure...you can't always trust them or watch out for them like you can a toddler.

Teenagers... definately... I have worked in nurseries in the past, and i can cope better with 30 toddlers than i can with 2 teenage sons... mind you, both mine have adhd and tourettes, so they kinda have an excuse, i suppose... but i still prefer toddlers, you can forgive them easier when they're so cute....
