I would like some advice on being married? Are you happy or depressed? Tell me your story.

I am married to a wonderful man, we have been together for 12 years now and have never had a fight, we talk to and work out our differences in an adult manor, no yelling hitting or name calling! We have four children between us who gave us great stress at first but we pulled together and worked as a team and it all worked out! I was in an accident and am now disabled, he takes care of me and even though I don't bring home the big bacon anymore we don't care we are still happy! We share in all our responsibilities, he helps me out when I can't finish my daily house things, never complains!!!!!!! I love this man and he loves me. He tells everyone that I treat him like a king and I am his queen! When people meet me some times they want to shake my hand or give me a big hug because they respect me because I make him so happy! We do little things for each other and never ever go to bed upset with each other communication is the key, and we do almost everything together, I do the girl thing he does the guy thing but most of the time we hang out together and we don't go to bars and party without each other, I don't drink, sometimes have a glass of wine or rum and coke at home but he drinks a little, not stinking drunk nothing like that, he may have three or four maybe more it depends but I drive! We love our dogs grand kids and our kids we are happy and live a simple normal life! I love it!

I love being married. My husband and I are so close and we get through everything. We are a little broke at the moment what with the holdays, still paying off the wedding, and trying to save money all at the same time. Things are tight and we have our little arguments and off-days but we get through it. Communication is key. If we weren't honest with each other, we would have never gotten this far. Even if it sparks a fight, I tell him exactly what I think and feel because I know we can work it out.

Every year it only gets better! I married my best friend because I was my happiest when we were together, and knew no one could truly love me and understand me the way he does. The only time I'm depressed is when one of us has to go away on a business trip. After 15 years I still light up when I see him waiting for me in a crowded airport.

it has its good days and bad. just imagine being with your best friend every single day and never having your own space again, and combining all your resources and energy into another person 24/7/365....... it gets rough. i don't think it is all it is cracked up to be. kids make it harder.
some people are "soul mates" but for lower middle class/ poor people with a million things going on and a million bad habits from the other person to look over/deal with it can get pretty damn stressful.

depressed but the only reason is that my husband works seven days a week third shift and when he is at home all he wants to do is sleep, I love him because he works so hard for our family but sometimes it's like living alone

no I'm not married but when i was married i was very depress.
just married the wrong person.she cheated on me and lie to me.

Married life is not what it's cracked up to be. If not for my pups, it would be a life of lonliness.
