family torn in to, i need to resolve an argument about who is the best out of united and liverpool once and for all, who has won the most trophies ect,

overall, liverpool is the most decorated team in english football (though it pains me to say it).
however, since the premier league as we know it today came into being (1992), NOONE has won it more than manchester united.

Liverpool have won the most of them... But Man U can compete with them in terms of local trophies unfortunately Liverpool has won the most or the biggest tropies.

Liverpool has won more since the beginning. But if ya count since the new Premier League that started in the early 90's ,then Man Utd. has won more.

Oh wait. We did it - twice.
The last time Liverpool played Real Madrid, we won 4-0. Just throwing that out there.
Arsenal12 - How many years ago was that? Beating Real was in 2009. Is that recent enough for ya, mate? "Barca and Real weren't good at the time?" Okay, so Barca winning the Champions League in 2006 and 2009 didn't mean anything? Messi and Xavi were still at the club, it was virtually the same, just under Frank Rijkaard.
Does it matter what style of football they played? I was proving the point that Barcelona were successful, so efficiency is the key argument here. They were efficient, especially in 2006. Ironically enough, we crushed them at Camp Nou the year after they won the CL.
