I think it's great. We need to remove the taboo from regifting. If someone gave me a gift that I have no use for or don't like and I have a friend that would really enjoy the item and it's gift time, why shouldn't I give it to them. It's the thought that counts, right! Or is it really that I spent money on you?

I think it is okay to re-gift so long as it is not re-gifted in the same circle of friends. Like co-workers, if a co-worker gave you a gift and you chose to re-gift it, giving it to someone outside of work would be okay. That way you do not hurt or embarrass the original gift giver. Also, make sure you check for gift tags.

It depends on who & what. If they can use it and it is new fine. Make sure you don't regift something back to the one that gave it to you or within the same family or friend group. The original giver may remember.

It's all good. I may get a present that I don't like, if I regift it the other person might love it.

Regift wisely and with a proper gift.
I got a jogging suit, which I regifted to my brother who needed one

I think re-gifting is kinda insulting because it means giving something intended for someone else who was supposed to have but who couldn't or didn't accept. I wouldn't want a gift if I knew someone was giving it to me AFTER trying to give it to someone else. That is second best and I wouldn't knowingly want to be.

I think it's ok as long as the person who originally gave it to you had no way of finding out.
