Don't put UPVC in to the Ebay search engine or you might have some explaining to do to your other half!
Have never seen Black Upvc doors or windows to be honest, only gutter and downpipe. It might be a very specialist thing. Will keep an eye on here to see the outcome.

Have`nt dealt with the doors, but the only exterior colors I`ve seen are white and almond or sandtone. The darker colors create a heat retention problem that in turn creates a structural problem. In short, things start to sag. Not being well schooled in UPVC doors I would have to guess it may create a delamination problem, given the right circumstances. This has occured in fibreglas doors that have been painted black with a storm hung in front of it.

Why would you want uPVC doors? Why not go for decent wooden doors instead? We've just fitted a new wooden door purchased from Lapeyre in France (literally ordered in on the phone and then went over to pick it up, piece of cake).

It is hardwood, double-glazed, made of FSC wood (sustainably managed) and won't be sitting in landfill for the next 10,000 years and it cost less than £500 including frame, door furniture and the trip over to pick it up.

Quite a few places do black UPVC but be prepared for the frames to get very, very hot and expand and contract in the sun. Black is the worse colour for heat retention hence black cars getting hotter in the sun.

From http://www.windowstoday.co.uk/products_pvcu.htm: Additionally, both PVCu and aluminium can be specially coloured in red, blue, green, black and orange! (and that's just a few of the options!)

Certainly yes. The only thing is, that they are not the normal shiny smooth PVCu doors that you see. They are composite doors, still PVCu but a much better quality of door. Be prepared though, they cost around about £1,000 fitted. Don't be worried about the heat either, all doors expand and contract, the difference with PVCu is that they will return to the correct dimension. Tel Hallmark doors 01482 703222 for a brochure
