Hello there. It is impossible for me to answer your question with the small amount of information that you have given. I would need to know whether or not you are breast feeding, first of all. It is unheard of for a breastfed baby to get a cold or the flu at this age. I would need to know what the baby's symptoms are and whether or not she is running a fever.
It would be my advice, with what little information you have given, to call the pediatrician and take your baby in as soon as possible to be evaluated. If you are breastfeeding I would tell you to try not to worry, it will not be nearly as serious as if you are not breastfeeding. In any case your pediatrician will know what to do but anytime a baby this young is ill, the doctor needs to be made aware of it.
Good luck and take care of your little one, you are all he has right now.
God bless
Lady Trinity

Because the baby is so young I would not give the baby any over the counter medicines for his cold. If the child has a fever you should see your doctor ASAP. You could suction out the babies nose with a bulb syringe and keep him elevated so the mucous doesn't remain in the back of the throat.

When they are so small its probably better to take little one to the GP. I used Karvol ... you can buy them in most stores. It's basically euculyptus and you put a couple of drops onto their clothing and it helps them breathe easier and somehow clears up the nose! I always found it helped even as small babies. I hope you get relief soon, as there is nothing worse than having a sick baby! Remember to offer some cooled boiled water, as they need to keep hydrated!

Not alot you can do apart from wait for it to go on its own accord. when your baby is asleep at night get a bowl of boiling water and add some karvol or vicks drops into it, this will give your room a menthol aroma and ease her/his chest, make sure you close the door asap.

if your baby has a temp over 38C take him to the hospital. My sons temp was 39C when he was 7 weeks old, we took him to emergency and we were taken within minutes, they ended up admitting him to the childrens hospital and we were there for 5 days running every little test possible.

Call the pediatrician!!!!!!!!!! Does he/she have a fever? My 10-week-old nephew has an ear infection. Little ones can't voice their feelings so take him/her to the doctor!!!!!!! You have to be careful with RSV in an infant. That could be very dangerous.
