In short yes, is the war illegal because they voted for it and they didn't mean to.

Not hypocrites, but intelligent people who can tell a screwed up situtation when they see it. The "phony" part of the intelligence didn't come to light until after the invasion. Aslo, many democrats voted against the war in the first place.
Anyway, none of that excuses the way Bush and Co. totally mishandled the situation ever since BUsh declared "mission accomplished".

Democrats are just as Guilty as Republicans for voting for an illegal war. According to many CIA personel the intelligence data mining prior to the war was done to produce "phony" intelligence. Lets not forget the Downing Street Memo. But of course facts never mean anything to you Ah-Ha.

What if we were lied to ? And it does not matter. The more this mess in Iraq drags on and the less control we have over the course of events, the less support Americans will have for it.
I can't imagine a less popular cause these days. Do you really think the fear mongering and jingoistic drum beating given out by the Bush administration after 9/11 led to a permanent commitment to support this quagmire? After a few years there was not a lot of support for the war in Vietnam either...and I remember in 1965 how many middle class Americans supported it too, at the time. We are digging ourselves into a hole. Can Bush's supporters ever admit they made a mistake?
This should be the larger question.

No. That video is just a montage of clips taken out of context. Bottom line is nothing in that video has any bearing on the situation on the ground in Iraq in March of 2003 or December of 2006. It's as irrelevant as the web site you seem determined to keep shoving down our throat.

I think they were all a bunch of cowards to not stand up to the President. It makes me sick. Of course with how popular the idea of the war was and how it was sold to the country they were looking out for there hides for reelections.
Wow this is a very Republican board today. I may actually have to seriously answer questions.

we were lied too. it was sold to Congress and America as part of the war on terror. Congress has no guts. they want to get re-elected. how can they get re-elected if the "vote" against the war on terror.
it wasn't the war on terror. It isn't the war on terror. they might have shown weakness in their votes, but it wasn't hypocrisy. I am assuming by your question that you approve of the President lying to America. Speaking of short term memory. What about all the hate you people had for Clinton's lie? your question is hypocrisy.
