If a beautiful person knows they are and takes care of that beauty (ie- aware of their beauty) but has a great personality to go along with it, that doesn't detract from the beauty. 'Beauty' with an ugly personality is no longer beautiful (but could have been). Other people are beautiful because of who they are- awareness of that kind of beauty doesn't detract from it...
That's quite a question... I don't really believe that TRUE beauty can be spoiled by awareness of it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What one can see as beautiful might seem ugly to another. The image of beauty is a complex social phenomenon. In your case you have another social phenomenon - a person being adored and admired for fitting into society's stereotype for beauty. This, in any case will bring upon the feeling of "specialness" into the so-called "beautiful" person, and this in no case can be pleasant, since its related to vain, narsicism, so on... Therefore we might go to hate the people that we seldomly pronounced as beautifyl... its a social product of selecting a few and hating them a lot. But beauty, nevertheless, is always beautiful... its the perception that changes.

Absolutely. Nothing makes me think someone is less attractive as when they are vain, conceited, etc. Someone can be aware that they are attractive, but as long as they don't ACT on that awareness, then it might not be so bad, but if someone knows they are beautiful and uses it to elevate themselves over others, then I think it is very unattractive.

Not at all if you accept that beauty is only skin deep.
But it is certainly less beautiful if you believe that beauty goes a little deeper and the beauty becomes tainted with arrogance.

No. But beautiful people tend to be less beautiful when you get to know them because THEY know their beautiful.

I think so. If someone knows they are beautiful, they tend to walk around with conceit and arrogance. Like they are better than everyone else. So their beauty is tarnished and they become very ugly.

I derived my understanding of beauty from Plato. Which is, that beauty is absolute, beautiful things are beautiful things.

I think it is. I've met some people that I thought were really attractive when I first met them but as they boasted on and on about how everyone thinks their so hot etc... they became uglier and uglier. While others that I have met and were attractive becamse more and more attractive to me because they seem to not know just how good they look. I guess seeing that I could relate to them made them more attractive to me, but I love down to earth people in general.
