I don't live in the UK, however I recently went from wearing liquid or cream foundations to wearing a light mineral powder by Loreal (many brands make mineral powders now, some very inexpensively, as mine was around $12 for a three month+ supply), and I doubt that I will ever switch back. I would advise trying something similar, not over your current foundation, but alone.

Brand doesn't matter so much as application. Wait for your foundation to dry for 5 minutes e.g. do your hair or something while you're waiting. Then apply the powder using a large, soft brush. Don't put too much on.

Best powder all categories is the on from T.LeClerc! Can be found in the larger department stores in London. If your face has a tendency to get red the banane one is specially good, don't be scared by it's yellow color, it neutralise's the red in the face and makes you look flawless.

The best one that i have ever used is Dandelion from Benefit, it is really nice and as it has a pinky finish it really makes your skin look healthy and it also comes with a nice brush to apply it. Also there are others similar such as Dallas which has more of a bronze finish. Hope this helped ya :-) xo

I use Virgin Vie One Step Face Base - applied with a big brush it gives good coverage and can be used on it's own or over foundation. I use it over a liquid foundation to give extra coverage for blemishes. Virgin Vie products can easily be bought online and, although not the cheapest, are really good quality and are still cheaper than alot of the big brand names.

Prescriptives Magic powder is really good. Quite expensive approx £35 but well worth it.

I think Stila powder is good.

Try going to www.hairhq.co.uk. They do some good deals and sometimes you get free lipsticks as well.
