so they said that it's so pure that you can sleep in them... but if you put stuff on your face and the oil from your face mixes with it throughout the day, then it's dirty-- how it is that you won't get breakouts from it? then how is it that we can 'sleep' with it on? I use their product but I'm starting to get red bumps (not exactly pimple), am I allergic to it?

I think what they mean by that, is that you can, occasionally, come in from a night out on the town, or from work and its ok if you fall asleep before you get a chance to take your makeup off. It doesn't mean it is made to be worn in your sleep. But the bumps do sound like an alergy, you might want to try stopping bareminerals for a few days

First of all, DON'T sleep in it. It is not meant to be slept it, that's a marketing line to show how pure it is and how it does not clog your pores. Oil, however, does clog your pores, keep in mind this is not one of the ingredients, it comes from your face! So, in theory, bare minerals can be slept in, provided you do not produce any oil! I use this, too. Just be sure to blot your oil throughout the day, and then apply more mineral veil. NOT before you blot, mind you. Then you are just building up a pore clogging paste. I don't know of you are allergic to it or not, you may be just lax in your skin care. Wash your face every night and don't touch it with your fingers or hands throughtout the day.

Yeah.. I had problems with the product, too. I thought it was my skin acting up, but it was the make-up. I switched back to liquid foundation. My skin has never been so beautiful. I use Almay nearly naked makeup and revlon powder.

Yes you shoudl never sleep in makeup no matter how "pure" it is. The bumps do sound like an allergy.

You might be allergic to it, and it's clogging your pores. Stop usage then start again, sometimes the skin needs time to adjust to the change.
