I'm guessing the guy you refer to is not aggressively pursuing you. That would mean that he's either shy around you, which is a good sign that he's thinking about you, or is ignoring you all together, which is either a bad sign or he is pretending to not be falling for your awe inspiring beauty.
However if your trying to figure out if some random guy might be sizing you up, it's all in the eyes.
A casual but consistent assessment of your figure is a good sign, but so is a predatory stare (although these guys should be avoided - they tend to use women).
Some guys strut, or flex, or bully the guy next to them to show women they're interested (these guys are usally kinda dumb so they should also be avided).
Bottom line- Don't look too hard for subtle information because every one is a bit fake in the beginning. Just start a conversation, make good eye contact, and let things build from there.

If he likes you, you will see that his body position will lean forward toward you.
Keep close. Ever get the feeling that somebody is "in" your personal space - so much so that you want to step back? If he likes you and you like him, neither of you will step back.
Make eye contact - if he likes you, he'll get it and hold it. Again, this can be uncomfortable if you don't like him or vice versa. You'll know if you feel like you have held eye contact just a fraction of a second longer than you would with anyone else, or if he looks away quickly.
Be aware of touching - he might put his hand on your arm when he laughs, or not move his leg if it happens to touch yours. This is a very good sign that he likes you.
Keep an eye out. His pupils will dilate (get bigger) if he likes you - but this is quite hard to pick up on and you might look a bit weird looking that closely into his eyes.
See if he keeps going out of his way to 'bump' into you.
Watch for him showing interest in things you like and do.
Joke freely. Does he laugh even if you aren't funny?
Check for signs of nervousness: nervous laughter, sweaty palms, fidgeting...
Smile. A big smile in return probably means the feeling is mutual.
See if he always end up in the same line or group as you.
He'll start pushing you around playfully (if you ever have a tickle fight with some of your friends, he'll usually go for you)

ok.. this depends on ur environment.. but simple is the best...
his stance or position towards u but not confrontational..
ie shoulders open , single handed slow gestures.. look at the direction of his hips and feet... pointing toward u or shielding himself....
eyes and smile... smiles are always good unless they're predatory...
eyes looking towards ur face neck and obvious other areas 'softly', not staringly.. if u need a clue say something to him... u'll soon know
