the making of new memories for the next thing one knows time passes and loved ones die and soon all one has left are the memories of what has been and the thoughts of what might have been as the words in the poem say :
" of all the sad words of tongue or pen
the saddest are these --- it might have been. "

Aside from the thrill of seeing what is in the Christmas stocking, the fave is eating the turkey dinner.
I probably like the one that I cook myself, one with LOTS of gravy!
That way I choose what to have WITH the turkey.
I like to have just as many side dishes, that can be loaded on the plate, before the food begins to become cool!
Most everyone will agree I am sure!

I love that all the family comes together and talk over a drink and dinner. I hate all the money that you have to spend to make it look like Christmas. It doesn't have to be that way.

Family time together. Seems like the entire year is hectic and when Christmas comes, we all put the brakes back on and remind each other what is truly important. Faith, family and our love for both.
