Which Muppet Christmas special's your favorite? I love all of them but I think my favorite is A Muppet Family Christmas. I still have the original 1987 airing on tape with a all of the original commercials (my Daddy taped it for me when I was only a year old:-D). The picture and sound is still surprisingly good.
Kermit: “It's cold.”
Fozzie Bear: “It is not cold.”
Snowman: [Entering the house] “Can I come in and warm up?”
Fozzie Bear: “Okay so it's cold.”
Statler: “We'd love to see your act.”
Waldorf: “We'd hate to miss your act.”
Statler: “In fact, we'd love to hate your act. A ha ha ha ha.”
Mrs. Bear: “I'm afraid we're running out of room. Two of you will have to sleep on hangers.”
Gonzo: “What a fabulous idea!”

I grew up watching the Muppets and loved the show, the movies and the Christmas specials. I would say my favorite is the one with John Denver. I didn't know who he was when I first saw it, but as an adult I really started appreciating his music. When I saw it again a few years ago, I was reminded how amazing he was, and how good the special was!

I like The Muppet Christmas Carol, but my favourite is definitely A Muppet Family Christmas. It's so funny with the Swedish chef trying to cook Big Bird, Miss Piggy stuck out in the blizzard, and my favourite "Watch out for the icy patch!" Like you, we still have it on tape from years ago, which is good because I never see it on tv anymore.
