At the risk of getting shot........My opinion is that Bob Dylan was a better POET than a Musician. Don't get me wrong I love his work but to me the essence of his work was in the lyric!
As for S & G.....they're harmonies are timeless.

Simon & Garfunkel produced some very superior songs.
However, Bob Dylan is without doubt the Mozart of the 20th century. His influence has been phenomenal in terms of singing style, the fusion of folk and rock, the subject matter of rock songs. Even if you aren't a fan of his singing, his songbook is superb, covered by a multitude of other artists. It can even be argued he invented rap when he sung "short pants, romance, learn to dance" etc.
The guy is still touring and is great in concert.
So it HAS to be his Bobness.

Dylan has more good songs, but Bright eyes by Garfunkel is better than any Dylan song.

that's because of the fact I observed Dylan come out to play with the grateful ineffective some situations, as quickly as on an analogous time as he replaced into hilariously hammered, I say Dylan. i think of S & G broke up in 1970, putting me at a million, so i do no longer comprehend them besides.
