You dream of you being yourself and talking to people but then at the end of the dream your watching yourself walk away and be talking to that person? like your just kind of floating behind yourself and not really there?

Dreams are metaphors for what is happening in our lives, usually offering an insight or understanding that is not yet apparent to our waking minds.

If you step outside yourself in a dream and observe yourself, I would ask you to look at the emotions in the dream (the key to meanings) and to consider how you are stepping outside of your life and being an observer in your waking life. Does that bring anything to mind?

Or perhaps the dream is suggesting you do that, to be objective about an important issue in your life -- at the time of the dream.

You are the final authority on the meaning of your dreams.

Your dreams can be made up of a number of things. It could be just a collection of events you did recently or could be hidden or suppressed feelings you have.

You can't really rationalize what you dream about cause there's is no logic in dream world.
