it gets all that black baked on stuff?
And it stops being silver and shiny anymore?
Is there a way to make it silver and shiny again - like it comes from the store?

Given enough time, water will dissolve almost anything. Speed the process with a little dishwasher powder in the water. After a couple of days scrape with a steel painter's spatula. Repeat if necessary. Finish with scouring powder on steel wool. Prevention is better...spray the pan first with non-stick aerosol.
