If you have never experienced anything metaphysical, then my advice to you is *not* to believe. Always be a critical thinker. Ask questions, investigate for yourself.
There are too many people who believe something with "all their heart and soul" even when there is no logic, proof, science or history related to these beliefs. It remains one of the basis for the many issues with have in society.
A good imagination is priceless but it should never interfere with the realities of life and the universe we live in.
I recommend that you approach this question from a logical thinkers perspective and find the sites that treat this issue scientifically and experimentally. It is only by these means that we can answer conclusively many of the age-old questions that allude us.
Good Luck!

I believe in and have seen ghosts. I saw a girl I used to hang around with, on the bus picking up half priced bathing suits in the same mall where I've always seen her go.
She was hit by a car and killed in that mall.
I had a big conversation with her after that on the same bus.
I've seen my boyfriend, back before we married, float from the living room into the bedroom where I was sleeping and hover over the bed right above me!
To this day I don't know why. Does that count as a ghost, though? He was alive and well in the next room.
Just out of body. Yes, they are very real.
I also believe they are nothing to be frightened of. Sometimes they just want to stay near the people and places they knew, and isn't that quite natural?

Yes I have felt a ghost definitely - I was on a ghost walk of York with only a small group of people - it was a serious one, not one of these where people jump out at you in costumes or whatever. Well we passed the site of a Victorian workhouse and apparently the owner used to dump the children's bodies but still get the money for them (making people think they were still alive) so it's a really haunted area of York. The man doing the tour said that some people feel the children spirits tugging at your clothes - just as he said that, I felt a real sharp tug on the back of my shirt - I looked around, there was absolutely no one there, it wasn't too spooky I just accepted it. Another time I was in another building in York and there was such a nasty presence I had to leave - it felt like someone being really angry and staring at you, Not nice at all - so we got out of there quick! I turned around and shot my camera and from that day it has never worked since! Wee-urd.

I believe in ghosts or spirits, but not the way these shows put on. Once, when I was a kid, my grandfather's ghost walked around my bed and disappeared. This was in the middle of the day and I was wide awake. We have a ghost in my house now from time to time as well. The ghost's never bring any harm. We just catch a glimpse of him from time to time.

What counts as a ghost ? Can it be just the immage of someone or does it also have to talk ? If ghost were real like dogs. We'd all see at least one in our life times. Most of us haven't. But, I read a quote form the Book; Shadows of Forgotton Ancestors by Carl Sagan.
" Thus she spoke and I longed to embrace my dead mothers immage. Thrice I tried to grasp her immage and thrice it slipped through my hands. Like a shadow like a dream." Empedoces (translated from ancient Greek ) or Latin.
He reveals to us the delusional and desperate nature of our minds. But, once I wached a slowed down video tape of the movie Three men and a Baby and there's a ghost or a clever photomontage trick in one of the scenes. It's entertaining and freaky.

Many years ago as a young Deputy Sheriff working in the central Jail population 950 inmates i was walking around the cells in the officers walkway about 11:pm when something grabbed me by the arm i grabbed my OC and intended to spray whoever it was, when i looked around everyone was on lock down no one there i then felt as though it passed by me and laughed. I reported this to my shift supervisor and he smiled and said ''yea i know I've seen it to but don't report it'' i got the meaning there and since then i have had several encounters in the two years i was there and i still hear from others that it's still going on.

I believe in ghost, because not every thing must have a scientific explanation, perhaps the scientist haven't discover the world of ghost. If ghost not real, then how can it past for years and still exist today?

I have seen and believe in ghosts. I saw my dog at lunch time. The only problem with that is that she was killed at 8:30 that morning. I'm convinced she visited me to say good bye. My cousin also saw a ghost. She saw and spoke with the ghost of her husband's younger brother.
