You can buy gels specifically for razor burn and ingrown hairs, they're generally available at a drugstore or you can buy them from an esthetician. If you don't want to do that than the next best thing would be to GENTLY exfoliate the area in the shower, and then use either aloe gel or a lightweight moisturizer with vitamin E. Also, for the next time you shave be careful to use a brand new razor, shaving cream, and always shave directly opposite the way the hairs grow. Shaving your bikini area can be tricky because the hairs all grow in on different angles...

I use to shave, hated the results. I then tried waxing @ a salon and it was such a difference in the 'look'. Waxing does hurt and a bit pricey, but you only have to do it every 4-6 weeks (depending on your own hair type), while shaving must be done more often, even daily, which is really annoying.

Don't shave your bikini area to close together, like gentle shaving cream, or a shaving cream that says it won't give you razor burn. Or let your bikini area soak in the water, before and after you shave. Just soak in water before you shave your bikini area, then soak afterwards.

Shave with the grain. Meaning, shave down strokes only. It won't be extrememly smooth, but smooth enough without getting it waxed. But no red bumps.
