how do iset up my dvd recorder to my sky digi box so that it will record programmes?

If you look at the back of your Sky box, you will see a scart socket marked 'VCR'. Get a Scart lead and plug it in there and plug the other end into the VCR or DVD recorder.
To record, you must select the "Line in " or "AV" input on the recorder. This then ensures that the recorder will 'see' what is coming out of the Sky box and you will be able to record it.

Cable from wall outlet to Input on Digi box, cable from Digi box out to DVR and cable from DVR out to TV. Same thing with audio & videos cables.
