go to youtube.com and look up punk'd elijah wood and judge for yourself. I don't think he is. I just think his upbriging has made him have a unique personality which is to be expected.

Elijah Wood is the victim of an online prank telling his fans he is gay.

Online jokers have started a website, elijahwoodisveryverygay, which gives photographic 'proof' proving the 'Lord Of The Rings' star is homosexual.

Rather than take offence at the site, Elijah has praised the people behind it for their inventive sense of humour.

He told US chat show host Conan O'Brien: "There's one that's called elijahwoodisveryverygay, which is actually a personal favourite of mine, it's absolutely hilarious.

"It's this kind of joke website that maintains that they have proof that I am very, very gay in various photographs - photographic evidence of me holding hands with a male."

The handsome star also claims some obsessive 'Lord Of The Rings' fans want the stars of the Oscar-winning trilogy to be gay.

Elijah says he has been approached by fans of the series who have given him "fake" pictures of himself in compromising situations with his male co-stars.

He explained: "They want to create moments that they didn't get to see in the film, of these characters in sexual congress.

"I was actually at a film festival once and this fan came up with a gift, I open the gift in front of all these people that I'm talking to and it happens to be a photo from one of these websites of me and Dominic Monaghan making sweet love."

I honestly feel that he is because of the way he conducts himself.
He tries to be pretty and proper. His choice of style is a bit unique also.

That rumor probably got started because of Lord of the Rings and how all the hobbits are...more...touchy feely than the other people in the movie.
