I could imagine that they can make you a chart for that date. They may use 12 noon as the birth time if you do not incidentally have the time. You may want to inquire about the cost.

Other chart services I have looked into do not go back that far, as you may have experienced, too.

The only aspect that can't be established with the unknown exact time of birth is the ascendant (raising star), but the rest of the chart remains the same.
The only other important factor would be the place of birth, which is, in this case, also missing.
Someone gave me World of Wisdom software for my birthday, almost as a joke... Except that they stopped laughing a couple of hours later, when I started feeding in the various people's birth details, and the programme promptly sprouted out a very accurate birth chart for each and one of them (including, erm, myself).
I'd be happy to give you the list of major aspects in your 'friend's' horoscope, but I can't email it to you because WOW won't let me.
