You're right. The Beatles.
They are the most used for new recordings of their work in the entire world and in history.
Also their songs are the most used for TV ads.
They are considered the best across the board.
No other band has even come close to their status.

Everyone encompasses too many different people. There is not a type of music that everyone in the world would share enjoyment of. I agree that the Beatles would come close. I do know some people who do not like the Beatles music (My Grandmother is one of them) The Rolling Stones also come to mind, they are selling out concerts after 40 years of playing. Their music has past down to 3 generations now and they are still selling albums at the top of the list.
