My favorite book has to be the original Dracula. This book was amazingly crafted and is a must read! I loved the horror in it.

Kudos to Ladyjeans for mentioning Good Omens - the only Pratchett book I still own and read. Overall though, my favourite book is Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. The delicious twisted irony it employs, the horror of war and the lengths people go to in order to deal with it is both hysterically funny, mind-blowingly original and horrifyingly scary. A classic in both the literary and the emotive disciplines.
