The Canadian dollar has made steady increases against the US dollar over the past three years. It was at a 14 year high in early 2006. Forecasts are widely varied, with predictions for the Cdn dollar to be from 81.6 to 88.6 US by 2008. The current rate is 86.4, so it will probably continue to be relatively strong and stable, but no huge gains likely.

Some time periods it will appreciate and some it will depreciate.

Anyone who really knows with precision could make an absolute fortune.
