I may answer it twice or maybe even three times...I have a bad memory, but even I notice the same ones day after day. It's usually someone new to the site who just got a great idea for a question and ... didn't know it wasn't all THAT original!

Not questions on matters of preference as the answers tend to be subjective and none is really better than the other.
For scientific or historical questions, I do not answer a question which I have already seen, since I was the first to give a correct answer to two identical questions which appeared at a fortnight one after the other from different people. I was not given ten points first time even though my answer was correct. The second time a completely wrong answer was chosen as best answer. I felt it was so absurd, I have refrained from answering a repeat question as I have realised some voters will chose anything to get points even though they know nothing of the matter.

Yes, but you do so because you know the answer and it wont take a long time so it's pretty much an easy 2 points.

yes and I notice you tend to ask the same questions you have either already asked or ask the same questions in general,so why point it out when in fact you do the same?
