i had many sexual partners in the past and i settled down with someone and had a child. i kicked him to the curb because he was really bad to me and now i am with a different guy. i told him i wanted to wait to have sex till i was married. is that a rediculous request now? i just don't feel that i should anymore till i am married. what would your reaction be? why?

it can be a better way to keep the relationship together..what i mean is this: if he can wait til you two get married it shows he respects you and your wishes..it's not a ridiculous request. you've had many sexual partners, but that doesn't mean sex should be a given with every guy. you do have the right to say no and protect your body. if you want to wait and he is willing to do that and respect your wishes then he is a good guy.

No that's not a ridiculous request, that's completely human to be hurt and try to recover. I wouldn't take it as something bad, that's just the first step. If he understands then he's a good man and maybe he'll stick around. If not, then so be it, there's plenty of men in the world, so trust me, there's one out there for you and don't let your standards down for someone because they look good, if they're not good for you simply move on...

you shouldn't have sex until you are married anyways.....

marraige should be when the two of you join in body and spirit and give something special to each other and create a human life that is both yours.

sex before marraige is just lust and fun but it has no meaning.

IS GOOD TO WAIT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH WANTING TO WAIT NOW. AFTER ALL THE EXCITEMENT YOU HAD BEFORE AND KNOW WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT FEELS IS GOOD NOW TO WAIT.
