ROFL.. Uh, their lips are moving then they are lying. If they are not lying they are about to lie or just finished lying and are mouthing meaningless phrases that while are not technically lies, the avoidance of truth makes them literally a lie.
Politician = Chronic liar.
When you have a person who's career depends on making dispariate groups happy then there is two kinds. The liar and the one's voted out of office. So to be a Politician one must be a liar. One reason I favor a term limit that is not specific to the post. 12 years tops in political office and that's it. No more 20, 30 or even 40 years in office. Think about the average president of the US. They start often with a state legislature or spend 6-12 years in Congress or the Senate or as Governer of a state or Mayor of a major city. Then they often serve 4-8 years as either cabinet members and or vice president. Then they spend 4-8 years as prez. That's normally at least 20 years as a politician. Then we wonder why we can't find an honest one?

The most 'telling' expression, the most obvious that I have ever seen is the ' Bush smirk'. It is even difficult to describe, perhaps a smiling sneer, as if he thinks you can't see him. I suppose he knows how really gullible people are, it won him 2 elections, which doesn't say much for the American voter. One more thing; whenever you here people say " they're all the same" or " both parties do it", it's a cop out, a refuge for non-thinkers who have no reasoning of their own, but merely repeat sound bites.

Apparently not.
They have to be lied to repeatedly before the figure it out because for some reason when it comes to politics people don't want to accept that they may have been wrong about the guy they voted for even tho it truly isn't thier fault he lied to them... only that he was allowed to continue.
(of course "chronic" means that he has to do it again and again without being able to stop, so I guess people logically DO have to be lied to over and over again before they learn that hes a *chronic* liar...)

That is not necessary. They can tell that by the fact that he is a politician.
