but i see a mob of black people protesting, what happened there? oh and at the end a boy is standing in the fire while jackson is hurt.

i just watched it last night
the story was a white lady claims she was carjacked by a black man or at least she thinks because it wasdark out and she had a kid in the back so the white cops who are related to her shut the whole projects down unitll they find the kid which is racist because the cops never put this much effort into finding a black child. long story short a riot happens and you find out that the kid drank a whole bottle of cough syrup and it killed him and the mother had a emotional break down and called a black guy she was cheating with and they buried the kid in the freedomland.

In the movie Samuel Jackson's character plays a cop investigating the kidnapping of a child. The child belongs to a white woman named Brenda who claims that she was carjacked by a black man and that her child was in the car. This leads to the police tearing apart a black community (called Freedomland) in search of the carjacker.
As the movie goes on, tensions escalate between the community and the police department. Jackson's character, as both a cop and a member of the Freedom land community, finds himself torn between the two worlds. As he digs, he begins to find holes in Brenda's story. The movie continues along this path until it reaches its anti-climatic conclusion.

Yes, but it was a while ago-
A lady has a kid. She claims the kid was kidnapped when she was carjacked. The police (w/ Jackson) try to help her. Them and a group of volunteers from an organization (dedicated to finding missing children) look everywhere for the kid. When they don't find the kid, Jackson tries to get the real story out of the mom. It turns out he was mad because she was paying more attention to her boyfriend. She leaves to break up w/ her BF, and while she's gone the kid poisons himself (w/ cough syrup or something) and dies. The mom and BF burry the kid. She made up the whole story about being carjacked.

i favored it . i suggestion morgan freeman and julieann moore have been nice in it . I might have in no way guessed that she killed her child. well good fortune and god bless and completely happy thanksgiving .
