Drink a gallon of orange juice, same sitting or you can drink 2 1/2 gallons back to back. I did this the other day at about 10pm (before going to bed) and by the morning I felt quite better, not 100% but a good 90%.

When it comes to a cold, there isn't a whole lot we can do to speed up our recovery. Despite the reluctance to take medications, the medications that are sold over the counter are merely to help us deal with the symptoms of the cold: Scratchy throat, runny nose, cough and sneezing just to name a few. Rest and hydration are the two best things you can do for your body. I recently sustained a cold and the best thing I did was call in sick yesterday and I stood in bed for 12 hours ( I normally sleep 6 hrs). I was a little groggy this morning, but once I started moving around, ate breakfast and started with the fluid intake (juice or water) I was feeling almost back to normal. I still have some of the effects of the cold, but nothing like yesterday. I'm about 80% back and I know I'll be well before Christmas. Try that and see what happens. If you do feel the need to take some over the counter medication, I recommend DRIXORAL. Its an antihistamine that will dry up your sinuses without making you feel drowsy. Hope this helps

You've made a good start. Since you got the cold now, chances are actually fairly good it'll be gone by Christmas.

In addition to the soup, try drinking hot lemon and honey or hot bouillon. Take extra vitamin C and garlic tablets. Use zinc lozenges for the cough. Use steam from any source to help keep your head clear. And sleep as much as you can.

Good luck, and feel better!

Try adding zinc (you can buy it in lozenge form like Cold Ease, or it may be Cold Eze) and add lots of vitamin C. You have to rest and drink lots of clear fluids, even chicken broth. Keep up with the Airborne, it really does shorten the length of the cold. Bless your heart, I know it's terrible to be sick right now, but you should be over it shorthly.

Take care and hope you feel better! Merry
Christmas.

Drink some orange juice. When you shower or get wet, get dry as quickly as possible. If you can, eat/drink/whatever some more chicken soup. The large amounts of warm liquids, salt, and other nutrients was proven to help fight colds. Stay in bed. Sleep more. Don't work too hard. Your body is fighting off the cold. You just need to give your body the best conditions to fight it.

Cold cannot be cured by only medicinal care but it can also be cured by ayurvedic treatments like having 2 tea spoon of mixture of boiled water with turmeric powder, salt and ginger.
