When my mother was a child they had a set of silver charms which they put in the Christmas pudding - a button, boot, horseshoe .. about 8 of them. She is desperate for some more.

[They are not the same as charms on a charm bracelet]

Unfortunately health and safety laws no longer allow such things as they are a choking hazard.

Yes, we haven't had charms in years. An idea: Why not ask your mum to describe exactly what they were, and then approximate as closely as you can... It is the spirit of it that will count the most... Let's see... There will also be a coin, a ring... What else? People help us!

You'll probably have to get them custom made these days, because of the choking hazard those present.
