Its in everyone pantry bro cooking oil I own a automotive paint shop and thats the only thing ive found that will take it if without fading or crackin it and best of all its right there handy for you!!!!

It depends on the plastic. Acetate or Acetone could melt the surface, also called Goo-be-gone or nail polish remover. Rubbing alcohol is a safe alternative. Use it with soft sponge or cotton ball. A little patience and you should be able to clean it all off. Joe C. ASE Certified Auto Tech.

Try using a citrus juice such as lemon if you want a natural solution. The citrus acid will soften the tape gum enough to be able to wipe the residue away without being too harsh on the plastic/ vinyl. I hope this helps.

First, warm it with a hair dryer, almost hot to the touch, then spray it with WD40 and rub with an old wash cloth. Repeat.

Auto paint stores have adhesive removers that work well.3m makes a good one.Theres also a adhesive remover that looks like rubber wheel you can use on a drill.

rubbing alcohol,is usually safe try it in a spot you cant see first,be carefull with nail polish remove(lacquer thinner)
