i am turning 1 2 .ijust found out that i am getting cancer and i am going out with this guy and he doesnt know about it nethier do my friends.when do i tell them an how do i overcome it?

That's really tough. Different people do different things about hair. Some cancers don't cause you to lose hair, others do. My mom wore alot of hats, but if that's not your thing, you could get a wig. It might seem creepy at first, but you'll get used to it. (or you might just not get one)
It'll be hard to tell your friends, but they love you, and they'll help you get through it. Your family will help you, too. It's hard to have cancer at that age, but you should have faith that you will overcome it.

you either have cancer or you don't.it's not something that you are 'getting'..and they don't shave off your hair..if you have the right type of strong chemotherapy it will fall out all on its own..they have human hair wigs you can get during that time period for your self esteem..you tell the guy and your friends the facts about your illness when you are comfortable with telling them and you overcome it by being a good patient, being involved in your own health care, asking all the right questions, knowing that for you to continue to be strong and battle it, that you then lean on your family and friends for support..it's not easy..that i know

im really sorry. you should just come straight out and tell your friends and the guy. they will all understand.
there are other treatments that you don't lose hair for, but i really wouldn't recomend them. my grandpa went through one of them, and he was miserable. he had a sore throat every day and couldn't eat. i think who ever made the suggestion of donating your hair to locks of love is right, you probably will feel better knowing someone else can appreciate and use your hair.

Sorry to hear about it.
Some cancer treatments cause hair loss but not all do
If you want to be proactive cut it off yourself and donate it to Locks Of Love. This is an organization that makes wigs for children with cancer out of real human hair.

I'm so sorry you are going through such a tough time. I know your strong and will come out of this with flying colors. Tell your boyfriend and your other friends right away. They will give you alot of strength. Instead of wigs or hats get colorful scarfs or bandanas. Stay strong and God Bless.

i can only imagie what you are going through let me say i am so sorry that you are dealing with this and i hope that you can find inner strength and overcome it and i hope you have a good support system as well and i feel like if you tell this guy and you r friends and see what they say or do it. if they truly love you and care about you then they wont care they will see you as beatiful anyway so my prayers are with you sweetie and i am here anytime you need to talk,
