Anything impersonal. Sometimes, you just need to break up with someone for whatever reason. But before u do, you should talk to them about why you want to end things, and see if there is any way to fix the problems. If not, then you should break it off instead of dragging things on with lies and false hopes. But you shouldnt do it over email, IM, text messaging, or through a friend. Do it face to face, and give them reasons as to why. Also, dont be a jerk/b*tch about it. If you dont want to have anything to do with them, at least not for awhile, then tell them that (nicely). To just say "its over" with no explination, and then act like a jerk to them every time they try to talk to you is just rude.
