Some channels have shows available on their websites though this is limited to certain shows or you may need to pay.
The BBC was trialling a multicast system http://www.bbc.co.uk/multicast which is now a closed private test that would have allowed this, think it was the BBC channels and ITV but your ISP had to suppport multicast.
They also has a system called IMP that they were testing that would allow you to download programs after they were shown and watch for up to 7 days http://www.bbc.co.uk/imp.
If you are a SKY customer you can get SKY by broadband that lets you download films, TV and sport depending on which sky package you have. This I think is free
Online TV is something that TV companies are just looking at providing at the moment so don't expect to find much at the moment

If you buy an adaptor for your computer (about £80), it turns it into a freeview tv, with EPG. Otherwise, there's some bbc stuff on the bbc two site: www.bbc.co.uk/bbctwo or the iplayer is launching in April with access to all the BBC's tv content on line. Chann;e 4 have just done one too - www.channel4.com but it only works on PC's

properly in this website you could watch video clips and each of the music video's you like or t.v courses in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not certainly a series channel.. like the hits or tmf etc yet you could watch any music video you like click on video's . or video clips . or instruct . on the best have funn =D xx p.s. it particularly is all unfastened !
