Hey teonica18,

Which war? I will assume you mean our current war in Iraq. We went in without evidence in hand. We struck the first blow. That in my mind is wrong. But, I support the Troops, the young men and women giving their lives for me. In that I am divided myself.

We should stop Terr-or where ever it affects our peace. The ultimate goal of any war is peace. But for us to start a war, in a country we had no real strategy in, was not a good plan. We are loosing GREAT men and women every day. That is where the line is drawn. We went in, now we must end it with some grace for the sake of the future of Iraq.

If only we could teach RESPECT for others belief systems.

Which war? oh what the heck ill just assume it's all of um

Revolution - You had your patriot new englanders, loyalist southerners and of course the impartial famers who could care less

The thing with Tripoli- I don't think that anyone really cared about that one since we barely did anything and it was on the other side of the world

War of 1812- New Englanders hated it, towards the end they formed the Hartford Convention which listed their greivances, may have been a little talk of secession

Mexican American War- Supported by the South who wanted to expand slavery, some northereners thought that we were stealing to much land from Mexico

Spanish American War- Don't think that therer was any real opposition to that, we got control of a bunch of territories that helped boost our naval powers though

World War I- Didn't get involved with that one till near the end, obviously German immigrants were a little hesitant about backing either side, for the most part it had national support

World War II- Everyone supported that one, unless they were a damn nazi bastard

Korean War- Little fuzzy on that one....sorry

Vietnam- Very serious divide, especially towards the end (think hippies)

Desert Storm- No one really had any problem with that, since we won and didn't drag it out for 5 years!!!

Iraq and Afghanistan- Started with a bunch of support, has time dragged on and more and more people got killed, plus the fact that we can't seem to find Osama or any WMDS

Hope that helps
