for president?
not a chance.
He's a smart guy. But we've had smart guys who couldn't keep it in their pants before.
Would any Democrat vote for him?
Plus, a lot of the Republicans hate him for messing up the House when he was Speaker.

No. Hasn't he run in the past? He is too far right to win in the current political environment. There has been a recent backlash against the right and thier policies as was seen in the recent elections. If a GOP candidate hopes to win, they will have to move to the center, IE John McCain.

If he thinks he could win, he's an idiot. No way would I vote for him. He just recently gave a speech at a free speech event talking about how we've got to police freedom of expression to make us safer from terrorism. How's that for mind blowing?

One of the most brilliant minds in modern times. Electable? Probably not. But I have yet to see any lib ever win a verbal duel with him on national TV in a one-on-one confrontation. Once they see they're in over their heads with him, they do their usual fall-back to name calling and bumpersticker slogans.

Hell Yes!
If you ask me, Newt is the only candidate, on either side, with fresh bold ideas, and the historical perspective (being a history professor), to not make the mistakes of the past.

I would consider voting for him depending on where he stood on the issues.
