If you had your period and it was because you took birth control to try to get it (I'm irregular) would it rule out pregnancy?

I've taken it before when I didn't get a period and knew I wasn't pregnant and it did make me start my period.

There is healthier ways to find out if your pregnant. Take a blood test if nothing is showing up positive from HPT's. If you decided to get back on birth control and you don't get a period then I would say yes, something is going on. If bc gives you your period when you don't have one and you were to take it and nothing happened, then tell your Dr. I am one of those people that HPT's just dont work on. It didn't show up positive until five, almost six weeks. There's no hurry though right? Just take vitamins and take care of your body until you know.<3

If you are pregnant than YOU ARE PREGNANT! There's no such thing as being a little pregnant! If you're irregular taking the birth control will help regulate...BUT it won't force a period to start IF you're already pregnant!

If you are pregnant you shouldn't get a period from being on the pill because the pregnancy hormones are stronger than the hormones in the pill and will overide the false period you get from the pill.

it would mean you caused yourself to abort the pregnancy.

The morning after pill is the same concept. Just a high high dose of hormones that causes your body to have a period, or spot, or make the lining of the uterus hostile.

jsut because you're pregnant doesnt mean that will stop things from happening if you make them with unnatural meathods.

You need to see a doctor, your reasoning and understanding of your body and the chemicals you put in it is really dangerously askeew.

you shouldn't take birth control just to start your period. they give it to you to regulate you period and you should take it all the time. however, if you took it and started your period, you are probably not pregnant.

You are much better off to take a pregancy test. Of course if you are irregular why are you worried? If it's been three months then you need to take a pg test.
