That depends. If you're suffering in pain in a hospital bed & then you die in your sleep, I'd say life was more painful and death a painless escape. If you're happy in your life & you meet with an unfortunate accident (car accident, stray bullet, natural disaster etc) & suffer a painful death then obviously death is more painful than a pleasant life.
None of us really knows how it feels to die. As long as it's not violent then I imagine it's like going to sleep & not waking up. Or at least not waking up in this life...but I won't get into talking about the afterlife since that wasn't your question. (I believe in Heaven though. So even if death is painful, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Eternal happiness waiting on the other side.)

The most painfull is life...I'm saddned to say it.But my life is fool of fizical pain like...getting beaten up.But when dead and you go to Heaven(I hope) it is sayd that when you die you are with the beloved.I personaly don't want to die but...only God knows when my clock rings.

life is suffering. there is pain and uncertainty and illness and loss. As for death, who knows? I believe that the concept of "hell" is this life on Earth.

life is painful! very painful coz u hav relations here ur family ur frndzzz and when they deceive u its painful when u cant get the one u want 2 its painful when u brought up ur baby wid so much luv and care and he sends u to old house its painful, dis war and weapons separating us frm our loved1s its painful, when u die its painful but not more than ur life coz death is peace u wont get any more troubles afterwards!

we wouldn't apriciate the sun if wasn't for rain, joy wouldn't feel so good if wasn't for pain, death gotta be easy cause life is hard it'll leave you physically, mentally and emotionally scarred

life is more painful because u have to live through it...u have to live with pressures, persecutions and many different trials....u dont feel any of that when u r dead!
