As you didn’t mention the Laptop as well as the operating system.
1) I am giving you generic solution, which most of the time works
2) I am assuming the operating system is Windows (any)
A) In bottom-right of your screen (System tray) you should find software for touch pad, you can change it from there.
B) Goto control panel > Mouse you can find special “tab” of your touch pad.
I hope it will help you!

Don't forget that even though it's a laptop, you can also just plug in an external mouse and use that instead. Same goes for the monitor and keyboard too.
