Hey Starless,

Each of the characters in Lord of the Flies has been analyzed on Yahoo! Answers many times. Most of these refer to the very same summary in the source listing below.

"From the very beginning, he seems to harbor emotions of anger and savagery. At first, he is the leader of his choir group, who become hunters as the book progresses. Finally, his savage personality and ability to tell people wha they want to hear allows him to overtake Ralph as chief."

Jack is the choir boy who goes from being slightly comepetitive but still a regular boy to an instinctive hunter. This character represents man's use of primal instincts (hunt, kill, dance around like a noob)
